If you enjoyed Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, One Day by David Nicholls, or The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks - then make time for Kelly Rimmer's stunning, heartbreaking new novel Me Without You. A story of how love can break our hearts - and heal them.
A year ago I met the love of my life. For two people who didn't believe in love at first sigh, we came pretty close. Lilah MacDonald - beautiful, opinionated, stubborn and all kinds of wonderful in ways that words could never quite capture. The woman who taught me to live again. My Lilah, who gave me so much, and yet kept from me a secret that she knew would break my heart. My name is Callum Roberts, and this is our story.
Me Without You is a book to make you smile, bring you to tears and remind you to hold on tightly to those you love.
Have you ever read a book where you fall instantly in love with the characters? Lilah and Callum are those type of characters for me. Five minutes in to reading this book and I was in absolute awe of their personalities, their lifestyles, their connections towards one another and I knew that this book was going to be one to touch my heart.
Callum Roberts works in the world of marketing and that is all he really ever does. His life isn't exciting one bit, although he does have a few things on his bucket list. His parents passed away and his brothers moved to Paris to start their own families, leaving Callum all alone with only his work to keep him company.
Lilah MacDonald had a much more extraordinary life compared to Callum's. Lilah had travelled the world, she'd seen more than many people in their lifetimes, mostly because her mother was desperate to become a huge singer, Lilah got dragged along with her, but, even when she was old enough to be without her mother, she still visited some incredible places. That all ended when an ex had passed away and she was inspired to work in Environmental Law, helping to save the world and what was most important to her.
Callum and Lilah would've never met if it wasn't for Lilah's habit of not wearing any shoes in public, what really got on Callum's nerves, however, that may have been the best thing Lilah could've ever done for Callum. The connection between Callum and Lilah is something so special. Callum is in absolute awe of Lilah and Lilah is in awe of Callum, no matter how much she wants to deny it. Lilah refuses to fall in love and settle down with anybody, leading her to pull herself away from Callum only to be pulled back in. Lilah has a very good explanation as to why she doesn't want Callum or herself to become so attached to one another, but, she keeps the secret from Callum, leaving Callum completely blind as to what is really going on in her life. Lilah was a miracle for Callum as she finally got him to explore a little further in to the world instead of spending his days in an office, he had learnt so much in so little time thanks to Lilah. She is one remarkable young woman who I absolutely adored in the book, she was so passionate about everything, Callum may have thought she was crazy for half of the things she cared so much about but that didn't stop her from speaking to him about them all, as he listened no matter what.
Me Without You will make your heart flutter and make you feel so warm inside, it will always break your heart and make you cry until there's no tears left. This is a book I had chosen randomly from the Kindle Unlimited list one day after I had read that it was like Me Before You and I couldn't have made a better random choice. You will love this book so much, it is extremely beautiful and I can't tell you how much you will fall in love with Callum and Lilah! You just need to read it for yourself and I promise you, it's worth the read!

About the Author
When my childhood friends grew out of make-believe games, I realised that I'd have to become a writer (or join the real world with them, but that seemed far too dull).
Several decades later, I live in rural Australia with my husband Daniel, and our two young children, and when I'm not reading, writing, or daydreaming about reading and writing, I have one of those unfathomable IT jobs which no one outside of the industry really know's about.
