Adam has no choice but to let Josh go for it, and so decides the next best thing is Sophie. After reading 'That Girl' and finding out about Rachel Strong, there was a little preview of her first novel 'Complicated Love' and I was completely hooked so I downloaded the full book to my Kindle immediately!
Like I've said previously, Rachel writes from a teens perspective which is perfect for me as it's much more relatable! I could definitely say Ella and I have a lot in common, we're both shy and the angels of our friend groups, but when we're under the influence of guys, we're not all that shy and angelic! Being able to relate to a character is great as you understand what they're thinking and feeling.
From the second I knew Adam and Ella had feelings for one another, I wanted them to be end game when I got to the last page! Their story is incredibly complicated and painful but it grips you in to not putting the book down until the very end. I must say aswell that they are the most stubborn people that just won't accept that they're meant to be together!!
There was a certain part in the book which I had predicted throughout the whole book and as soon as my predictions were right I felt so proud! It's not all complicated for Adam and Ella though, Sophie and Josh also have a lot to go through since they're partners are sneaking around their backs... All I'm going to say to that is... Karma's a bitch...
The ending wasn't what I had expected or wanted but Rachel chooses these endings for a reason and I respect that! But can I maybe hint for a Complicated Love 2??? Hehe.
Such a great book that will have you drawn in from the very first page! I can't wait to read many more of Rachel's books because she is such an incredible writer and her storylines never drag or repeat and they're incredibly interesting to the point where you notice it's 3am and you're still reading! I'd highly recommend this book so head over to Amazon to purchase it for £1.99 or if you're signed up for Kindle Unlimited, you can get the book for free! :)
