Blog Tour - Guest Post: The Trouble with Seduction by Victoria Hanlen

Rebellious, Scandalous and Irredeemable Lady Sarah Strathford is ready for a little harmless frivolity with a man of her own age and her own appetites.. surely that's not too much to ask! After the death of her beloved husband years before Lady Sarah is ready for an adventure... Enter the dashing, roguish - and baffling - Mr Cornelius Ravenhill. Ravenhill, however, is not the gentlemen he seems, and soon Sarah finds herself battling against the corrupt and harsh world around her as it threatens to destroy all she holds dear. The question is, will her seduction at the hands of Mr Ravenhill prove to be her saviour or her downfall?

Today is the last day of 'The Trouble with Seduction' Tour and I am so grateful to have been able to come along on this journey! My first ever book tour... how exciting!

This book is set in England 1855, so we're timetravelling back a very good few years now where the life of England was extremely different and who doesn't love a good historical book!?
Lady Sarah has been twice widowed and has now decided that it's her turn to chose who she marries and what adventures she gets up too. Now her father has passed, she has the freedom in making her own choices, however, her brother takes after their father and tries setting her up with his good friend. Lady Sarah has none of it and winds up in the most exciting yet dangerous world she's ever encountered with Mr Cornelius Ravenhill... Or so we think...

Her hopes of finding real love and real passion in a relationship comes to life when Ravenhill appears in to her life. He takes her to a place she has never been before physically, emotionally and mentally.
All comes crashing down when Lady Sarah finds out Mr Cornelious Ravenhill isn't the gentlemen he has made himself out to be. The easiest thing for Lady Sarah is to escape the thought of him once and for all, something about him just keeps pulling her back...

I really enjoyed this book and Victoria definitely knows how to describe such a beautiful place like Strathford Hall, making me want to really explore and seek out the secret passages. I love a good mystery book and this one definitely keeps you turning the pages. It's full of twist and turns that make you desperate to find out what happens next and soon enough you're at the very last page before you know it! Ravenhill is such an intriguing character and is a very large mystery himself.

Lady Sarah is an extroadinary character, so warm hearted and always thinks of others before herself. She had a charity set up where children and adults could go to get educated and get help with all their living problems. Sarah has been through so much, with getting married at 16 and remarried straight after her first husband passed, she never had the life she truly deserved. So Mr Ravenhill gave her something so spontaneous that she and Ravenhill found themselves falling absolutely head over heels for one another!

Everything in this book was detailed so perfectly, from what they was wearing, to the fight scenes, the love making scenes, the places they explored... I felt like I had actually been pulled into the book and was on this journey with them!

I highly recommend this book if you love all things historical and romantic...

I give this book a 4 out of 5 and I want to thank Victoria for allowing me to read her book and review it. I also want to thank Jenny for giving me the opportunity of experiencing my very first book tour. It's been a great experience and I am now officially shutting this book tour down. I hope you have all enjoyed the reviews, I sure have enjoyed reading everyone's and I'll see you on my next book tour! :)
